Marrow of Zen Talk 4:  2010

Dharma is a collection of lessons.   It is a collection of Expedient Means that if used and understood, helps one recognize their original state.

“Dharma is not intrinsically sacred and holy.  It is not something to be attached to.”

  • “Teachings are only expedient means designed to demonstrate / show us our habits and responses.”
  • “Practice is practiced to become aware of Karmic disposition.” Ones Karmic Bag is Mechanisms of the mind. It teaches one how to face difficulties as well as good things.
  •  One must learn to rid one of the “self” One should not glow in praise or become despondent in difficulties.   “Things actually operate because we are not in the center of our world.”
  • Causes, conditions, and other people and things are all connected.
